New Update

July 14th, 2024 - Sunday Night

LONG STORY SHORT----After we had finished up with our birthday dinner, my older sister along with her family had brought over what my twin sister and I thought was a present. Little did we know about the picture at the bottom that was going to be an unexpected surprise for everyone!!! I cannot wait to become an auntie for the last time in early February of next year and look forward to seeing my niece, nephew and their little sister give unconditional love to a new sibling.

July 17th, 2024 - Birthday Party with friends :)

As I think about this and how much fun we had, it would be a complete understatement. We first decided to go bowling up at BYU for awhile and then went into bowl prior to the FSY kids making their debut in the bowling alley that night. My older sister and her three kiddos joined us for a game, which if you ask me made the evening a little more fun in my book. It was so much fun seeing them bowl their balls down their lane and watch them either get a strike or whatever it is you get when you bowl these days. I was not at the least bit surprised that our best friend's husband ended up winning his game, because he does go bowling on a regular basis. Shortly after that, all of us walked outside in the summer heat  a block away down to the old BYU creamery on ninth to enjoy a scrumptious cheeseburger meal that came with a scoop of ice cream!!! Little did we know it will end up being rebuilt back in the location of where the current one is in keeping up with the demand of so many ice cream lovers like me!!!

First Birthday

YESTERDAY--- My sweet niece Skye celebrated her first birthday and hard to believe that so much has happened since she came into our family. I am so grateful for the unconditional love she has for so many people and continuously puts a smile on your face, whenever you need something to cheer you up at any given moment. When I first became an auntie, I really didn't have much of an idea or what there was for me to expect other than not having had experience with any younger siblings in my growing up years. It has never made me want to think about how incredibly quick this year has come and gone within a very short period of time, but somehow it feels like an absolute eternity.

Skye has certainly brought so much happiness into my life and continues to make everyone around her feel extra loved. I am so grateful for the many more memories that we will get to share with her and hopefully at some point down the road, her siblings... but not gonna mention anymore about that right now!!!! I know it seems a little bit weird of me to write up about this, when it was fairly clear to me that none of us were present to celebrate with her-- but I do know she felt so loved by lots of pple and didn't have a moment when she was not smiling from ear to ear.

Seven Weeks Left

I can't even believe how fast this school year has come and gone, which to me only means another legitimate summer break to look forward to. It's certainly been an emotional roller coaster for me during this past year without any shadow of a doubt in my mind. I have really needed to focus so much more on my Heavenly Father and Savior, throughout this year more than anything else. I've really been able to feel their hand in my life as I continuously figure out, what the next upcoming school year will be for me and can only hope that it will a much better experience than words can ever say. I have literally gotten myself in situations that most people should never see themselves needing to deal with and can only hope these next few weeks will end on a positive note without teardrops running down my face.

Weekend Plans

I'm thrilled beyond words to have the opportunity of spending this weekend with my older sister & her husband, along with my little niece Skye who is getting blessed on Saturday. She is truly such a cute little girl who has brought JOY into our lives since I first met her and I am so grateful to have her in my life now!!! It was definitely a tough transition for me to get used to being around an infant since we haven't had any of them around for twenty five years... but she is so adorable and I love her more than words could ever say. It will be such a wonderful experience to be with family and getting the chance to celebrate such a sweet spirit that I am anxious to hold in my arms again, when that time comes around!!

We are definitely going to have so much fun seeing my niece Skye again & spending as much time with her as we can, because one year later--We will turn around, she will be a one year old girl!!! She is truly the closest thing to heaven and I cannot wait to love her unconditionally... It is so great to be an auntie as weird as I feel admitting that sometimes. I really do love being an auntie to the cutest little niece ever and honestly just knowing she is finally here, almost seems surreal when I think about how fast time went by before she came to this earth. I am grateful for the many chances that we will get to have loving my nieces/nephews unconditionally one day... but until then, I cannot wait to watch them all grow up into remarkable young people. They are going to be spoiled with lots of kisses and hugs from not only me, but everyone else around them as well, if that makes any sense to you at all???

Highlights

Getting to spend quality time with my older sister and little niece Skye all weekend, which I will admit was such a delight for me considering how nervous I felt about becoming an aunt for the 1st time ever. It was literally something that I can only hope will get better as the years go on and yet I have so many things to learn along the way. I am grateful for the memories that I was able to make this weekend more than anything else in the world, but having said that-- I can only hope for much more incredible times to come.

We also went to sacrament meeting at my older sister's ward & got to listen to talks about Mothers-- as well as their influences in our lives, but leading back to the Savior who is the closest example of who they are to us everyday. It was also such a joy to listen to the primary kids sing songs to their moms and how much they love them-- which was absolutely incredible (even though back here in Provo we had the same program going on.)

It was really fun and exciting to visit the well known popular must see attraction, The Mormon Battalion Museum right there in Old Town San Diego. We had a wonderful time getting to learn various things about those faithful pioneers who during a very tough time, were able to face their challenge of having to fight for what they believed in and yet if they stayed true to themselves-- it would be a very successful journey.

Forever Changed

My little niece Skye made her official debut earlier this afternoon and honestly could not be more thrilled for my older sister to finally become a mom!!! It is truly amazing to know that in spite of everything that made me feel incredibly nervous in not having any experience with infants before, has certainly raised my expectations.

There is probably so much more for me to learn & understand with becoming an auntie for the very first time ever, but seeing pictures of my niece will continue to help me feel more comfortable with this new phase in my life. I am excited to see her in most of her cute girly outfits that will probably not get worn very much but at the same time, she will most likely  get new ones between now and then. I am grateful she is part of our family for the rest of eternity and super thrilled to get to see her in person someday down the road.

My niece Skye is the cutest little girl ever and I'm thrilled to be her auntie for the rest of eternity... I was very much nervous about how much I was going to love this little niece of mine, but then when pictures started coming up on my iPhone- it all started to make sense in my head & everything is just falling into place. I am grateful for the opportunity to be this little girl's auntie and getting to show my unconditional love for her is going to be such an amazing experience with the help from my mom to let me know how to handle everything.

Thanks so much to everyone who has sent their best wishes and love to our family, during this new chapter of our lives!!! It is so surreal that she is finally here with us and someone that I can share my unconditional love to as the years pass by. I am so grateful to be her auntie & see her become the cute little girl that she will become one day!!! I know it is such a big adjustment for me, but it is one that I am most certainly going to give my best at with any chance I have.

Auntie Nerves

TOMORROW AFTERNOON/EVENING---My mom is headed down to Southern California with helping my older sister and her husband welcome my little niece Skye who will be here either some time tomorrow or Tuesday. It's certainly taken a toll on me with how I've tried to adjust with a lot of changes that are gonna take place in a few days and whether or not, we are prepared let alone ready for this experience at all whatsoever... is just simply going to be here before we know it. I am some what worried about how all of us will perceive with this little girl who will be changing each of our lives forever and can only hope for the best in what is to come. Since I've never had any experiences with having younger siblings at home to take care of at all, I'm really quite freaked out with just ALL of the many things that I will need to get adjusted to and keeping a positive outlook on all of it. I feel thrilled for certain about my older sister becoming a mom and having unconditional love for this cute little girl who is going to change their lives forever. I have enjoyed being around little kids for almost eight years now and the experiences that I've had with them this year alone, have been nothing short of unforgettable!!! It definitely took me a little bit of time with getting used to everything and finding myself learning to love first grade students, which I will admit was the most amazing experience that I ever had in my life. With this new little niece coming into my life, I will only hope to have as much fun and enjoyment getting to see her personality come out as she grows up into a beautiful lady. I am incredibly nervous with what to expect from all of this and can only hope for the many memories I'll hope to make down the road as the years pass by.

Untitled Post

I am so grateful for this time of year to reflect on the importance of why we celebrate Easter and without it, I am not sure where I would be right now at this time in my life. I know it is because of Him that we can all start over with a clean slate and see the positives in everything. It has definitely been a whirlwind of emotions for me as I've moved on from somebody who was so caught up into their pride, that I didn't need them to be a part of this journey. I am grateful for the lessons that this experience taught me personally about how to overlook past those issues and recognize the Lord's hand is always in the details of our lives, regardless of whatever we are faced with. I would never want to return back to that time when nothing seemed more important to me, than just about what having true friends is really like and not taking that an advantage of it.

I am grateful for the many open doors that this struggle opened up for me and making new friendships with people, who I'd easily would have gotten to know at some point in time but never pictured it being like this. I love everyone who has helped me become the person I am today and learning to remain strong in those hardships is the only way to move forward.

I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ went through it all that we could be here on this earth and being tested to see how well we could handle any situations that we face. I know it is through Him that we can make it through anything that comes our way & recognizing his unconditional love for me is just indescribable...but you pretty much get the whole picture here???

Events of 2018:

- Continuing to advocate on behalf of those like myself and empowering them to be the best people they can be in this world. Never letting them forget about their potential in wanting to change this world, so that we can all be treated with respect & understanding.

- Awaiting the new arrival of my niece Skye who will probably be here some time next week and just really hope for a good, smooth transition into this world. It is certainly not been an easy thing for me to deal with and keep focus on the blessings that are coming into my life, because of this experience.. with having unconditional love for somebody else.

New Role

It's hard to imagine myself becoming an auntie in less than a couple of days, let alone a week away if you can believe that!!! I truly cannot explain into words, what it will feel like being in the presence of someone who is going to change my life for the better and seeing my little niece Skye in person, will be a very surreal moment for me!!! I am grateful for this opportunity to expand my heart for a brand new little girl who is going to make my life so full of bliss and craziness wrapped into one!! I don't know anything much with becoming an auntie, but knowing my heart will completely heart over an amazing niece is totally so difficult to put into words. I cannot wait to see my older sister become a mom to this sweet niece of mine is going to be a very exciting and heart warming experience more than anything else in this world. I am not exactly sure how incredibly amazing of an auntie, that I'll actually be once she gets here-- but at the same time I know it will be so much fun to watch this girl grow up and become an incredible young woman someday. She is going to be so well loved by a lot of people and completely spoiled rotten which most people know, that all nieces/nephews are gonna be treated in that way all the time. It's certainly not going to be an easy transition to get used to, but with everybody telling me over and over that I will be the best aunt for this little girl has helped me so much.

My niece Skye could either arrive sometime this week or next regardless of whatever ends up happening between now and then. I am hoping for a very good outcome in making sure she is perfectly healthy and strong once she makes her debut into this world. I'm excited for the many laughs and excitement she will bring into our lives once she comes here at some point. I am not particularly certain that I will be perfect in this new role of being an auntie, but I will give it my absolute best possible shot to love her unconditionally.

Two Month Wait

Several months ago, My family was thinking that we would travel down to California to visit my older sister and her husband as well my niece who will be here in less than a couple of weeks. I am definitely not sure what to expect from this new adventure in my life, but getting to hold my niece for the first time ever will be such a surreal experience for me. I am looking forward to what this amazing opportunity has in store for me and getting to take on this auntie role as best to my ability that I can possible, but believe me... It is definitely going to be a complete turn around when I see her for the first time. I am thrilled for my older sister to become a mom to this little girl who is going to be spoiled more than I can even say for myself right now.. but you get the idea here right??? It is certainly going to be very interesting to see me come into this transition with the biggest heart that I know I will have for my niece Skye once she joins our family.

Unfortunately... We are not planning our trip down to California till sometime in early May. I have absolutely no idea what this experience would be like from the moment we get there and hoping for everything that is going to be make this a very special time. I cannot wait to have this bond with my niece that is never gonna be broken and I am ecstatic to watch her grow more than words could ever say. I know that waiting two months before anyone of us gets the opportunity to see her in person, I definitely will agree is going to be worth it and cannot wait for the chance to fall in love w/ this cute little girl. I'm also hoping that my older sister and husband will move back here to Utah... only cause it would be so much fun to have my niece be in the third grade class I volunteer in. I would love it more than anything in this world to help my niece learn & be the person that I hope she will become as I watch her grow up. Who knows what could happen when I get the chance to finally spend more quality time with her?? We will have to wait a couple of years and find out what that would be like down the road into the future!!!
