I'm truly grateful for the privilege I had to return back to my favorite youth leadership conference as one of the mentors. I absolutely loved every single minute of being able to share my positive energy with some of the absolute most legitimate friends I could ever ask for. I really enjoyed getting to not only help in various ways at this conference, but also teaching one of the classes there is definitely a highlight that I will cherish forever. It was such an amazing experience for me to have my own peers see one of their own in a different way that had never been done & I am grateful to have made some kind of an impression on them.
Shout Out:
I've probably done this too much-- but I cannot even begin to express the gratitude & appreciation that I have for all of our legitimate staff who was there with us. All of them are not just only there doing their important jobs that they do on a regular basis, but I would definitely consider most of them to be my closest friends. I can honestly admit each of them continues to play some kind of a significant role in my life and never fail to make me smile or remind me that I can do hard things- regardless of whatever that is. I just want to thank all of you for the friendships that we share with each other and will continue on for many years down the road.
Favorite Conference Highlights:
- Spending quality time with all of the legitimate staff and participants we had there all week long. I am so incredibly grateful for the dedicated, hard-working, friendly, helpful people that you are and will forever be as many more years quickly pass on.
- Staying up late into the evening hours and laughing till my heart was tired!!! No kidding if you ask me... I could go on forever about this!!! :)
- The Flying Squirrel (Pretty much speaks for itself and it is the most legitimate high activity ever on this planet!!!)
- Became friends with everyone there and definitely made memories that will stick with me for the rest of my summer vacation.
- Enjoyed some delicious and refreshing Aggie Ice Cream on the Quad with everybody on the grass, not to mention played some of the most legitimate Aggie games ever!!!
- Danced my heart out as much as I could possible with everyone and can only hope to do it again in the future!!! (Fingers Crossed)
- Teaching one of the classes at this conference was one of the most unforgettable moments for me in ways that I could not even describe into words. I really liked having all of my friends at this disability conference see me in a professional way and if I could do it all over again--- I would not hesitate with being able to say YES!!! Did I forget to mention that I was also one of the Keynote Speakers?!?!? So much more about this later on in a different blog post to come.
