Obviously... None of my family or I chose to run in this event, but getting to be a part of it among thousands of people was such a treat in more ways than one. I am grateful for those who sacrificed much so that I could be here and live the gospel of Jesus Christ, here on this earth. I know all of the many circumstances and trials they faced were unimaginable to what we have today... but for me to have been a small part of this walk/run event was just a short glimpse into what those early saints-- literally had to put their faith into each day, motivated me to keep walking forward. I could've just easily given up and not participated along with the other thousands of people, who gave it their all regardless of what was going on around them. This was definitely an incredible experience that I'll cherish forever and look back on with a smile, knowing that it was difficult-- but not impossible if you ask me!!!
After what I've blogged on here from the last year and a half, I know my life has not been the easiest at times or happiest for me either-- but this event is something I really needed. It opened up my heart into the fact, no matter how extremely difficult I've had to endure through barriers that no one should have to put themselves into or deal with. It certainly gave me a sense of perspective that no matter what I'm dealing with in my life, I know that I will turn out be alright in the end. Maybe I'll never know what it was like for those early saints to have faced some of the most unfathomable things and yet having needed to be a part of this event showed me that I can do hard things. If you must know... I wouldn't have experienced all of those hardships alone without the help of my Savior, Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father every single step of the way!!!

Family Reunion 2019:
Not about this has happened yet--- but I am determined in making a lot of new memories with family and getting to catch up with each other as much as possible. I have always loved getting to enjoy just being away from the craziness of what is going on and escaping into a little piece of Heaven on earth, if you know what I mean?!?! :)
Final Preparation:
I'll make sure to write up about the event itself after returning back home & having a little extra time on my hands. I am thrilled for one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life and sharing it w/ so many other amazing young women across the united states. The official plan is to get my stuff all put into my suitcase next Monday and making sure I don't leave any of the important stuff behind. It has certainly given me a lot of stuff to think about over these past few months and hopefully can just give this all my best regardless in whatever the results are!!!
